OpenSignal has published an independent analysis of the customer experience for video services by telecom carriers in Asia, showing that Smart garnered a video experience score of 42.2, well ahead of rival Globe Telecom in the Philippines.

A new survey on the quality and speed of mobile videos worldwide has again validated what Filipinos already know ? that the Philippines has the worst video experience and one of the slowest globally.

Seoul topped the survey with a remarkable 4G availability score of 97.9%.

Globe?s overall speed increased 63% while Smart?s overall speed almost doubled in our measurements.

LTE speeds on Smart have continued to ratchet up over the last year while those on Globe have been relatively stagnant, according to the test results.

The OpenSignal survey, which measured the performance of operators in major Asian markets, showed that the average Smart LTE download speed across the Philippines was 12.7 Mbps, up 38.5% from the same period a year ago, and well ahead of Globe Telecom's 7.5 Mbps.
