PLDT-Smart will transform Araneta City into a Smart 5G Lifestyle Hub, which will feature the country’s first 5G indoor deployment and the first 5G-enabled shopping mall.

The city of Cauayan in Isabela has its own citizen app, a unified electronic payment system across the town, and free Wi-Fi in its barangays.

The team bagged P500,000 cash prize, while first runner-up Cignal and second runner-up Bren Epro took home P250,000 and P150,000, respectively.

As a retort to the claim of Globe Telecom that it is now the top mobile service provider in the country, tech titan PLDT has asserted that its mobile subsidiary Smart Communications continues to be the top mobile service provider in the Philippines, in terms of subscriber base and revenues.
