Photos | Skimming device found in ATM in Bonifacio Global City

A Facebook user named FJ Castle posted photos on Tuesday night, Dec. 2, of a skimming device discovered in a local bank ATM.

According to Castle, the ATM belonged to the Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) at the FullyBooked bookstore near W building in Bonifacio Global City.

?I took these photos myself which shows a dummy keypad with chip to record the PIN and an apparatus on the card slot area with a chip to record card details,? Castle said in his post.

He implored those who used the machine ?to change their PINs as the ATM was discovered to be tampered as of Dec. 2 2014, around 9:30 PM.?

?And I?m not sure how long ago this ATM was tampered with,? he added.

The photos, which have gone viral, shows a similar device used to skim ATM users in other countries.

Newsbytes.PH has tried to contact BPI but they cannot be reached as of posting time.
