Sitel Philippines is intensifying its commitment to corporate social responsibility through a new partnership with the Unilab Foundation Inc. (UFI) and the Philippine Federation of the Deaf (PDFI).
?We?re very excited to broaden the scope of our skills training program,? shared Craig Reines, chief operating officer for Sitel Asia Pacific. ?We take education very seriously and continue to look for ways to expand our development programs and bring career opportunities to more Filipinos. Through Sitel Academy Plus we are educating and empowering marginalized sectors like PwDs by enhancing their skills and giving them a chance at a fulfilling career in the BPO industry.?
Sitel Academy Plus is an extension of the company?s highly successful skills building and recruitment program Sitel Academy. Through this new partnership with UFI and PDFI, Sitel Academy Plus will be offered to the hearing impaired and persons with mental disabilities.
Program participants will be given basic contact center skills training which will empower them to seek gainful employment in the BPO industry as contact center agents, virtual assistants, software analysts, and more.
?We are driven by our mission to promote an inclusive and diverse workplace not just for Sitel, but also the BPO industry,? Reines explained. ?We have made significant headway in providing jobs for PwDs and this latest partnership allows us to reach even more people and give them the opportunity to work in a diverse and inclusive professional community.?
