TCL pushes energy-efficient air conditioners amid rising power costs

As summer temperatures rise, appliance brand TCL is promoting its latest air conditioning lineup, highlighting energy efficiency and smart features as electricity and fuel prices continue to climb.

The company said demand for cooling appliances remains strong among Filipino households despite economic pressures, with consumers looking for ways to manage energy consumption while maintaining comfort.

TCL said its newer models incorporate “T-AI Energy Saving” technology, which it claims can reduce electricity use by optimizing cooling performance in real time.

The firm added that some units can cut power consumption by up to 37%, although actual savings may vary depending on usage.

“We know that every peso counts, especially with the costs of fuel and basic essentials nowadays. That’s why TCL is focused on making ‘Smarter Cooling’ more affordable. Our energy-efficient AC units are built to help you beat the summer heat while keeping your electricity bills in check. Stay cool, live smart, and save more with TCL,” said TCL brand manager Joseph Cernitchez.

The lineup also includes features such as location-based automation that cools a room ahead of a user’s arrival, as well as voice control functions that can operate even without an internet connection.

TCL said it offers multiple configurations, including split-type inverter and window-type units, as part of its effort to cater to different household needs.

The company also highlighted models designed for high-temperature environments and systems aimed at improving indoor air quality.

The push comes as manufacturers increasingly position energy-efficient appliances as a way to offset rising utility costs, while also aligning with broader efforts to reduce power consumption.
