PLDT Home said it is offering free installation and temporary speed boosts as more Filipinos turn to work-from-home arrangements in response to rising fuel costs and inflation.
The broadband provider said new subscribers to its fiber plans will get waived installation fees and faster speeds for a limited period, while existing users will also benefit from service upgrades. The move comes as both government and private firms push flexible work setups to ease commuting costs.
“Filipinos are among the most resilient people in the world, and we want to make it easier for them to navigate today’s challenges, especially amid ongoing global uncertainties. This is why we continue to enhance our fiber products and services to better support the daily digital needs of the Filipino workforce,” said Menardo “Butch” Jimenez Jr., chief operating officer and chief technology officer of PLDT.
Under the offer, subscribers to PLDT Home Fiber Plan 1299 and above will receive up to twice their Internet speed for six months, along with free installation worth ₱3,600.
Users switching to PLDT will also get an “Always On” modem for six months, which automatically switches to LTE connectivity during fiber outages.
PLDT said the upgrades are meant to support remote workers who rely on stable connections for video conferencing and cloud-based tasks.
“Families need a reliable fiber connection to work from home, stay productive and connected to what matters most,” Jimenez added.
The company is also bundling additional perks, including free entertainment access via Cignal, a one-year gaming pass, and discounts on select home appliances.
For prepaid users, PLDT said it has expanded its fiber offerings with higher-speed options of up to 100 Mbps and 300 Mbps, alongside more flexible load packages ranging from one day to one year. The company said some plans can go as low as about ₱19 per day for long-term subscriptions.
