Ford Territory Hybrid tops PH small hybrid SUV segment in Jan-May 2026

Ford Philippines said its Territory Hybrid has become the country’s best-selling small utility hybrid vehicle, citing industry sales data covering the first five months of 2026.

According to data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI), Ford sold 2,226 units of the Territory Hybrid from January to May 2026, placing it ahead of other vehicles in the small utility hybrid segment.

The company said the model outsold its nearest competitor by more than 500 units.

The Territory Hybrid was launched in the Philippines in August 2025. Ford said the vehicle surpassed 1,000 units in sales within just over three months and ended 2025 with 1,645 units sold. The momentum continued into 2026, helping the model climb to the top of its segment.

“The remarkable sales performance of the Ford Territory Hybrid is a clear testament to how deeply this nameplate resonates with Filipino customers who are ready to embrace electrified mobility,” said Pedro Simoes, managing director of Ford Philippines.

“To see the Territory Hybrid emerge as the best-selling small utility hybrid vehicle in the market in such a short period of time is both incredibly rewarding and a powerful validation of our electrification strategy. We thank our dealers for their strong partnership and our customers for their incredible support.”

The Territory Hybrid combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and is rated by Ford at 19.6 kilometers per liter, with a driving range of up to 1,000 kilometers on a full tank.

Ford also cited results from the Department of Energy’s 2025 Fuel Eco-Run, where the vehicle recorded fuel economy of 23.71 km/L.

The hybrid powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter dedicated hybrid engine, a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, and a lithium-ion battery system.

Ford said the vehicle offers multiple drive modes and can operate in electric, series, parallel, and energy recovery modes to improve fuel efficiency and driving performance.

Simoes said the Territory’s popularity in the local market helped drive interest in the hybrid version.

“The Territory has long been a favorite in the Philippines, and by infusing it with our global hybrid technology, we have created a vehicle that offers the perfect balance of fuel efficiency, smart technology, and effortless performance without requiring a change in driving habits.

“This milestone is a direct reflection of the trust our customers place in the Ford brand, and it inspires us to continue delivering innovative, practical, and highly capable vehicles that elevate the daily drive,” he said.

The Ford Territory Hybrid is available in Trend and Titanium X variants, with prices starting at P1.399 million.
