Converge ICT Solutions will connect Miriam College’s three campuses through dedicated Internet links as the educational institution upgrades its digital infrastructure during its centennial year.
The deployment will cover the Loyola Heights, Nuvali, and Alviera campuses using Converge’s Dedicated Internet Access service. The network is intended to support cloud-based learning, collaboration among campuses, and centralized school operations.
Dedicated Internet Access provides an organization with reserved bandwidth rather than a connection shared with other users. Converge said the service includes network redundancy and is designed to provide consistent bandwidth and low latency.
The infrastructure will support Miriam College’s online classrooms, digital libraries, student information systems, administrative applications, artificial intelligence-powered education tools, and data-intensive research.
“As we mark a century of transformative education, Miriam College remains steadfast in our commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development,” said Miriam College ICT director Reggie de Leon.
“Embracing this digital transformation allows us to future-proof our learning environments and enrich our specialized STEAM programs. With reliable, high-speed connectivity, we are empowering our faculty and students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world, ensuring our graduates continue to lead with competence and principle.”
Converge said the inter-campus network would also allow Miriam College to process administrative work and digital transactions across its locations while maintaining access to critical applications.
“Education is one of the sectors undergoing the most profound digital transformation today. Schools are no longer simply connecting classrooms — they are building intelligent campuses where connectivity powers learning, collaboration, research, and innovation,” said Grace Jarin-Castillo, Converge senior vice president and head of Corporate Global Business Group–Sales and Marketing.
“By supporting Miriam College’s transition towards a smart campus model with our Dedicated Internet Access, we are delivering the stable, high-performance foundation required to meet today’s educational demands,” she added. “True digital transformation goes beyond speed; it is about creating an environment where technology intuitively supports learning.”
The companies did not disclose the value or duration of the contract.
