Epson PH intros SureColor SC-P7330 and SC-P9330 large-format printers

Epson has released two new large-format photo printers, the SureColor SC-P7330 and SC-P9330, positioned as successors to the SC-P6000 and SC-P8000 models.

The printers are designed for photography, proofing, advertising, and fine art reproduction, offering improved printhead technology and an expanded color gamut.

Both models use Epson’s 2.64-inch PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead, which has 8,000 nozzles for precise ink placement.

They also feature Nozzle Verification Technology to detect and compensate for clogged nozzles, helping to reduce disruptions during production.

The SC-P7330 has a 24-inch print width, while the SC-P9330 supports up to 44 inches. Both printers incorporate a new ink set that includes violet, allowing for more accurate reproduction of certain shades, particularly in blues and purples.

For workflow efficiency, the printers have dedicated channels for Photo Black and Matte Black inks, removing the need for switching.

A spindle-less roll design and improved media feeding stability are intended to make operation more straightforward across different paper types, from fine art sheets to poster boards and canvas.

User-focused features include a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, enlarged status lamps for visibility, and a dust-resistant structure. Automated maintenance functions are built in to minimize manual intervention.

“These models are part of our efforts to provide tools that support the needs of creative professionals,” said Masako Kusama, president and director of Epson Philippines Corporation.
