Smart Communications has expanded its sports coverage by streaming collegiate volleyball and international basketball through PusoP.com, its digital sports platform that offers free livestreaming of local and international events.
The Shakey’s Super League Preseason Tournament will be the first to be shown on the platform, running from September 20 until October.
The tournament, featuring teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), will be held at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum and PlayTime Filoil Centre.
The initiative is supported by Smart Sports, Smart, and KiQ, a mobile service provider, as part of their backing for grassroots and collegiate sports.
Starting Sept. 21, PusoP.com will also stream the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) league, founded by Manny Pacquiao, with teams representing cities across the country.
For basketball, the FIBA 3×3 Manila Challenger will be shown on the platform from September 20 to 21 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
Organized in collaboration with the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), the tournament will feature local and international teams.
“Smart is supporting platforms like PusoP.com to give Filipino fans access to games wherever they are,” said Jude Turcuato, head of sports at PLDT and Smart.
