BPO operator Capital One Philippines has entered the Asia’s Best Workplaces 2025 rankings, following three consecutive years of certification as a Great Place to Work and a fourth-place finish in the IT-BPM category of the Philippines’ Best Workplaces list.
The company said the recognition reflects its internal focus on leadership development, employee mobility, and workforce readiness amid changing talent demands in the IT and business process sector.
Capital One Philippines has rolled out several leadership and career-readiness programs aimed at preparing associates for managerial roles ahead of promotion. These include targeted upskilling, cross-functional exposure, and internal mobility initiatives designed to develop talent from within the organization.
One of its leadership programs is an eight-week readiness course for high-potential associates preparing for frontline management roles. The company said 124 associates have completed the program, with about 90% later promoted to Unit Manager positions.
New leaders are also required to complete coaching and management training within their first 30 days in the role.
Human Resources head Phil Bravo said the company’s leadership approach focuses on preparing associates for expanded responsibilities rather than promoting them without sufficient support.
Beyond leadership training, Capital One Philippines has also placed emphasis on employee well-being, including work-life balance and support systems for associates transitioning into higher-responsibility roles.
Senior unit manager Riz Sanglay said leadership development initiatives helped clarify her role in supporting employee growth through training and development.
Senior department manager for operations Javi Rey said associate-focused initiatives are designed to strengthen workplace connections and foster a sense of belonging across teams.
