Canon Marketing Philippines has launched Canon PhotoMarathon 2026, a nationwide photography and video competition scheduled for April 18 at the BGC Amphitheater.
Now in its 19th year in the Philippines, the PhotoMarathon is part of a regional contest that began in Singapore in 2003 and later expanded to other Southeast Asian markets.
The competition challenges participants to produce images and videos within a limited time and based on assigned themes.
This year’s edition continues to feature a video category alongside the traditional photography contests.
The event is open to professional photographers, students, camera club members, hybrid creators, and hobbyists. Several categories are also open to participants using non-Canon cameras.
Participants must register through the Canon PH Delightful mobile application by creating an account and signing up under the Events section.
For the Main Photo Category, which is open exclusively to Canon users, the top prize is a Canon EOS R6 Mark III with an RF24-105mm lens.
The Open Photo Category, which accepts entries from all camera brands, offers a Canon EOS R8 with a 24–50mm lens as the top prize.
In the Video Category, which is also open to all brands, Canon users can win a Canon EOS R50 V, while non-Canon users can receive a Canon Powershot V1.
Ahead of the main event, Canon will take part in PhotoWorld Asia 2026 from January 29 to February 1, where it will offer promotions and product discounts.
The company will also organize photowalks, school visits, and regional tours from February to March as part of its buildup activities.
Participation in the PhotoMarathon and related activities is free and open to digital camera users.
