Digital bank GoTyme Bank has partnered with Maxicare Healthcare Corporation to handle the disbursement of professional fees to doctors affiliated with the healthcare provider.
Under the agreement, GoTyme will serve as Maxicare’s banking partner for distributing payments to its network of physicians.
The companies have begun conducting on-site roadshows in major hospitals to facilitate account opening and debit card issuance for doctors.
GoTyme kiosks have been deployed at several Maxicare-affiliated hospitals, including St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City and Bonifacio Global City, Makati Medical Center, VRP Medical Center, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
According to the companies, around 2,000 doctors have already been onboarded, with plans to reach an additional 20,000 in the coming months.
GoTyme said the partnership is part of efforts to strengthen financial services in the healthcare sector.
“By leveraging GoTyme Bank’s secure, fast, and reliable platform, Maxicare now offers its network of doctors an additional efficient way to receive their professional fees, allowing them to focus more intently on patient care,” the bank said.
The partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony held at GoTyme Bank’s headquarters.
GoTyme Bank is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and is a joint venture between the Gokongwei group and Tyme Group.
