Lazada to hold 4-day ‘6.6 Sale’ amid growth of PH e-commerce

Online shopping platform Lazada Philippines will hold its “6.6 Super WOW Sale” from 8 p.m. on June 5 until June 8 as it seeks to attract consumers with discounts, vouchers, and free shipping offers amid continued growth in the country’s e-commerce sector.

The company said the sale will feature discounts of up to 90% on selected products, vouchers worth up to P3,000, and free shipping promotions throughout the campaign period.

The sale comes as the Philippines continues to be one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital markets.

According to the 2025 e-Conomy SEA report by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company, Southeast Asia’s digital economy is expected to exceed $300 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV), with the Philippines contributing more than 60% of the projected $36 billion GMV.

Lazada said demand for products sold through LazMall, its platform for official brand stores, has grown faster than its overall business, reflecting what it described as increasing consumer preference for trusted brands and authentic products.

Among the brands featured on LazMall during the campaign are Momcozy, Anta, UGreen, and Maserati watches.

The company is also promoting the use of artificial intelligence-powered shopping tools, including AI Lazzie and AI Picks, which provide product recommendations, comparison features, and personalized shopping suggestions.

Carlos Barrera, chief executive officer of Lazada Philippines, said consumer trust remains a key factor in online shopping decisions.

“We want every Filipino shopper to know that when they come to Lazada, they’re getting great deals and, at the same time, they’re shopping with confidence,” Barrera said.

He added: “In an environment brimming with options, confidence in both products and sellers is essential for today’s discerning shoppers.”
