JG Superstore expands from e-commerce to physical retail with new flagship store

Photography and electronics retailer JG Superstore has opened its first flagship store at the Annex building of SM City North EDSA, marking the company’s expansion from online retail into a larger physical presence.

The company said the branch, located on the third floor of the mall’s Annex, is the largest camera store in the Philippines and carries cameras, photography and videography accessories, and creator-focused equipment from brands including Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, Nikon, and DJI.

Founded as an online retailer on e-commerce platforms Lazada and Shopee, JG Superstore said the new store is intended to give customers a hands-on shopping experience and direct access to product demonstrations and consultations.

The store also houses JG Academy, a training initiative that will offer workshops on photography, videography, and content creation. The sessions will be led by industry practitioners and are aimed at both beginners and experienced creators.

To support equipment upgrades, the retailer is also offering a camera trade-in program and a section dedicated to pre-owned cameras and gear.

Jill Tan, co-founder and vice president of JG Superstore, said the new branch reflects the company’s long-term plans for the local creative industry.

“It represents our passion and long-term commitment to the creative industry,” Tan said. “We recognize the importance of equipping Filipino creatives with quality products, learning opportunities, expert support, and a community that fosters growth.”

The opening was attended by representatives from major camera brands, photographers, videographers, and content creators.
