Canadian BPO firm plans P632-M expansion in PH, eyes new provincial sites

A Canadian business process outsourcing (BPO) firm is planning to invest P632 million in the Philippines and add 725 direct jobs as it expands its operations outside Metro Manila, according to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The planned expansion by NQX was discussed during a July 3 meeting in Vancouver attended by Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., DTI secretary Cristina A. Roque, Department of Finance (DOF) secretary Frederick D. Go, and company executives, as part of the president’s official visit to Canada from July 1 to 4.

DTI said the company is considering new sites in Laoag and Dagupan in North Luzon, and Legazpi in South Luzon, subject to final site selection.

The expansion is intended to support NQX’s contact center outsourcing, customer experience consulting, and digital solutions business.

NQX currently operates in the Philippines through Quantrics Enterprises Inc. The company has already invested about P1.425 billion in the country and employed 5,661 workers as of April 2026, according to DTI.

It is also among the largest corporate employers based in Taytay, Rizal and a major private-sector employer in Camarines Sur.

Roque said the planned investment reflects continued interest in the Philippines as a location for global business services, particularly in areas outside the capital.

“This goes to show that NQX’s expansion is a testament to the Philippines being a trusted destination for global business services. The DTI stands ready to support investments that generate quality jobs, strengthen regional economies, and bring stable employment directly to the countryside, allowing Filipinos to thrive without leaving their home provinces,” Roque said.

Go also welcomed the planned expansion, saying it could help spread jobs beyond major urban centers.

NQX was formed through the combination of Canada-based Nordia and Philippine-based Quantrics. The company said it has more than 8,230 employees across Canada and the Philippines, handling over 20 million customer interactions annually.
