Canon Philippines has launched two training initiatives aimed at giving Filipino students and content creators hands-on access to cameras, printers, and related creative tools.
The Canon Academy 2026 will bring equipment demonstrations and practical sessions to educational institutions, while the Canon Creator Camp will conduct community workshops in several cities.
Canon said the academy has already held sessions at Far Eastern University and Ismael Mathay Sr. High School. It is scheduled to visit National University’s main campus, De La Salle University, and Centro Escolar University in July, with additional sessions planned for August and September.
Meanwhile, Creator Camp workshops will be held in Cavite and Manila in August before expanding to Baguio and Davao in September.
The programs were announced during Canon’s Creator Experience Day, where the company also showcased the EOS R6 V hybrid camera and its PIXMA MegaTank printer lineup.
The EOS R6 V features a 32.5-megapixel sensor, open-gate video recording, and an active cooling system designed to support longer recording sessions.
Canon’s PIXMA MegaTank printers, meanwhile, feature refillable ink tanks, wireless connectivity, touchscreen controls, and functions intended to reduce ink and paper consumption.
“The Creator Experience Day signifies just one chapter in Canon’s ongoing commitment to empowering Filipino creatives,” said Shinsuke Maeda, senior manager of Canon Marketing Asia.
“We aim to bring our tools and resources closer to everyone who has a story to tell, ensuring that every creator has the support they need to flourish.”
