Samsung has launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 in the Philippines, expanding its wearable lineup with new health, sports, and outdoor activity tracking features.
Aimed at outdoor enthusiasts and high-performance athletes, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 introduces a Trail Run mode that tracks elevation, climbing progress, and the effects of terrain on a runner’s pace. A Nutrition Alert feature also provides real-time hydration guidance based on estimated sweat loss.
The smartwatch can also function as a dive tracker. It carries an IP69K rating and 10 ATM water-resistance certification, while the built-in Ultra2 Diving app automatically records depth, dive time, and water temperature when the wearer enters the water.
Developed in collaboration with diving equipment maker Mares, the app also tracks ascent and descent speeds and provides information on safe diving limits.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite platform and equipped with an 800 mAh battery, which Samsung said is 35% larger than that of the previous Ultra model. It also features a display capable of reaching 5,000 nits of brightness for improved visibility outdoors.

Samsung said it reduced the watch’s thickness by 12% while retaining its shock-resistant titanium casing. The device also comes with lighter and softer bands intended to improve comfort during extended use.
“The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is Samsung’s most advanced smartwatch yet,” the company said.
The Galaxy Watch9, meanwhile, is designed for everyday activity, sleep, and health monitoring. It uses the same Snapdragon Wear Elite platform and features an aluminum casing, along with interchangeable soft-touch bands intended for continuous wear.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is priced at P44,990. The Galaxy Watch9 costs P24,990 for the 44mm model and P22,990 for the 40mm version.
