The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has launched an upgraded online portal that consolidates business assistance, advisory services, training materials and mentoring for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Launched on Sept. 28 at the DTI NCR Office in Makati City, the Negosyo Center Online Portal 2.0 was developed by the agency’s Negosyo Center Program Management Office as a digital extension of its network of physical Negosyo Centers.
The platform provides entrepreneurs with access to business registration assistance, advisory services, educational modules and one-on-one virtual pro bono coaching from certified mentors.
It also incorporates client profiling, content management and data analytics tools that the DTI said would allow it to monitor entrepreneurial trends, identify user needs and extend services to businesses in remote and underserved areas.
“Small businesses are the beating heart of our economy. When we empower a local enterprise, we do not just build a business — we uplift families, transform communities and drive national growth,” DTI secretary Cristina A. Roque said.
“Through this portal, we are bringing DTI’s services directly to your fingertips, ensuring every local business receives fast, clear and actionable guidance to compete and succeed.”
The DTI said the portal is also intended to help connect local businesses with domestic and international markets.
Roque cited Philippine merchandise exports, which reached $54.92 billion from January to July 2026 following 19 consecutive months of expansion.
The agency said it is seeking to connect MSMEs with trade opportunities under the Philippines’ existing and prospective free trade agreements, including negotiations for an EU-Philippines FTA and the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement.
Alongside the online platform, the DTI said it continues to provide support through trade fairs and financing programs.
The agency said its venue-covered trade fairs generated more than P1.09 billion in sales for over 3,500 local businesses in 2025.
Through the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp), the DTI is also offering collateral-free financing facilities, including the P2-billion Women’s Enterprise Fund, P2-billion OFW Negosyo Fund, P3-billion Exporter Fund, P2-billion MSME Business Fund and P2-billion E-Transport Loan Program.
The Youth Enterprise Fund, meanwhile, provides financing of up to P500,000, with applications processed through a mobile app.
“All big businesses started small,” Roque said. “Please use this portal. Ask questions, seek guidance and tell us what support you need so we can tailor our services to help you build stronger businesses and a better future for every Filipino family.”
