FAWCAR to launch 3 JOYEE electric and hybrid vehicles in PH

FAWCAR will launch three models under its JOYEE new energy vehicle brand in the Philippines on Oct. 22, expanding its lineup in the country market with two SUVs and a coupe.

The models — the JOYEE S04, S08, and N09 — cover different vehicle segments, with the S04 being a pure electric SUV, the S08 a hybrid SUV, and the N09 a coupe available in fully electric and range-extended versions.

The S04, described as JOYEE’s global debut model, is designed for urban driving and weekend trips. It has a claimed driving range of 565 kilometers on a full charge, energy consumption of 11.8 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers, and a 2,750-mm wheelbase.

Its features include a panoramic glass roof with heat insulation and a battery using high-polymer carbon nano-coating technology.

The S08 is a full-size hybrid SUV powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine. FAWCAR claims the vehicle can travel up to 210 kilometers on electric power and has a combined range of 1,555 kilometers. Fuel consumption is rated at 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers under low-battery conditions.

The N09, positioned as a B+ flagship coupe, will be offered in pure electric and range-extended configurations. Its features include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit platform, a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system, frameless power doors, and nine airbags.

The N09 also uses an 800-volt electrical architecture and supports 6C ultra-fast charging. FAWCAR claims it can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.4 seconds.

FAWCAR said it has adapted its vehicles for Philippine driving conditions, including high temperatures, heavy rainfall, traffic congestion, and varying road environments.

The company did not provide Philippine prices or detailed availability information for the three models in the material announcing the launch.

FAWCAR operates two brands: BESTUNE, which focuses on conventional fuel-powered vehicles, and JOYEE, which focuses on electric and hybrid models. Its Philippine operations are represented by Multifortune Motors Incorporated, based in Quezon City.
