Converge ICT founder and chief executive officer Dennis Anthony Uy said proceeds of the IPO will boost the company’s objective to build the largest fiber broadband network in the country.

Fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions said it has also increased its overall hotline capacity to match the additional staffing to address customer inquiries and follow-ups.

Converge ICT will hold the offer period from October 13 to 19.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has considered favorably the initial public offering of Converge ICT for a maximum of about P41.55 billion.

Luzon-based broadband provider Converge ICT is expanding to Mindanao and has tapped Finnish network firm Nokia to deploy fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) solution.

With the tie-up, Converge ICT customers can now pay their bills in more than 500 self-service “Pay & Go” payment kiosks, with a number of them operating 24/7.

With the investment, Converge ICT said it will be able to fastrack the construction of its $1.8-billion nationwide Internet backbone.

The Benguet Electric Cooperative (Beneco), which was earlier tapped by the government to serve as an Internet service provider in the Cordillera region, said it has entered into a business partnership with broadband provider Converge ICT.

Converge ICT is offering the Seamless Whole Home Wi-Fi System as an add-on service to new and existing FiberX subscribers. The offering starts at Plan 2500 for P600.00 per month for 24 months.
