The heads of the Philippine office of tech giants Accenture and IBM participated this week in the “Ice Bucket Challenge”, a global awareness campaign to fund research for ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) — also referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Accenture Philippines managing director Lito Tayag rose to the challenge hurled by Megaworld chair Andrew Tan, while IBM Philippine country general manager Mariels Almeda Winhoffer was nominated by AIM (Asian Institute of Management) president Steven DeKrey.
