The Intellectual Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) has inked an agreement with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) for the development and promotion of the intellectual property system in the neighboring countries.

The areas of cooperation cover:

1.) Capacity-building and training activities on office administration patent search and examination, trademark examination, human resources development, quality assurance, intellectual property administrative hearing procedures, as well as IP rights creation, protection, enforcement;

2.) IP Education, role of IP in promoting innovation and creation, technology transfer, IP management, valuation and commercialization; and,

3) Exchange of IP information and best practices.
