GrabFood now running 24/7, features new merchant promos

GrabFood, the country’s top food delivery platform, is now accepting and delivering orders in Metro Manila and Cebu 24 hours daily in a bid to douse everyone’s hunger pangs any time of the day.

GrabFood 24/7 even doubles up the experience as it dangles exciting merchant promos to make sure more people at home or in the workplace ease their hunger whether during daytime, nighttime or the wee hours of the morning.

Hunger, studies suggest, leads to severe loss of productivity.

Moreover, people no longer live the 9 to 5 lifestyle according to GrabFood country head EJ dela Vega who spoke during a media launch held at Grab’s Makati City office. Grab announced the promos during said event.

De la Vega cited data that showed food delivery orders from 12 midnight to 5 in the morning increased 13 times from March 2019 to the present.

With GrabFood’s delivery operation now grinding 24/7, BPO workers including those in the graveyard shift will now find a better way to fill up their stomachs during those ungodly hours.

Even office staff in other industries will find comfort in GrabFood when they work overtime or find themselves in a lunch meeting at the boardroom. Students and professionals who are up all night for an assignment, project or remote work will also find the app helpful. Lastly, mothers rushing through traffic on their way home can rely on GrabFood to take care of dinner for the family.

The 24/7 delivery service can also become everybody’s go-to app during rainy days when they are hesitant to dine out and when there aren’t a lot of dining options near one’s home or workplace.

Their food choices come with special promos dubbed #GoneAngGutomDeals, most of which will last until August 23. These merchant promos include free food and drinks for minimum orders or specific purchases, food bundles, and buy-one-get-one offers.

The food bundle promo in particular is perfect for a group of students or an entire company department putting in extra hours for a project and looking for practical yet delicious group meal choices. It is also a great alternative for officemates who are simply craving a lunch or snack fare that is different from the usual canteen menu.

“What GrabFood really wants to do is be there,” said de la Vega. “I’d love the idea of GrabFood being the hero that comes to save the day when we experience those hunger pangs and I’d love the idea of hunger being a villain.”

“Grab is in a unique position to empower Filipinos to make the most of their everyday lives. This starts with the most basic yet important task of satisfying their daily cravings and beating hunger at any time,” said Grab president Brian Cu.

Among GrabFood’s partner merchants are McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Chatime, BonChon, Mister Kabab, Jamba Juice, Bully Buffalo Wing Bar, Happy Lemon, Cha Tuk Chak and Ersao. Participating restaurants number to more than 1,000.
