Taiwanese tech firm Asus has unveiled in the Philippines premium ROG gaming rigs, budget-friendly Asus Tuf Gaming units, and a lightweight laptop from the VivoBook S series — all coming with the new AMD Ryzen mobile processor.
First off the grid is the ROG Zephyrus G14, which Asus claimed is the world’s powerful 14-inch gaming laptop. It is equipped with the latest fourth-generation Ryzen 9 mobile processor from AMD, 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and 1TB SSD storage.
Measuring at 17.9mm thick and weighing 1.7kg, the Zephyrus G14 has an eye-catching feature on its cover, the AniMe Matrix LED which users can customize on top of the moonlight white paintjob.
Its 14-inch IPS panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB panel color coverage capability, paired with Pantone Validation and Adaptive Sync technology for color accuracy and smooth graphics. It is also Wi-Fi 6 compatible and has Type-C power delivery charging option.
The Zephyrus G14 comes in two variants – the GA401IU-HE137T, which has the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, retails for P99,995; and the GA401IV-HE247T, with the GeForce RTX 2060, is priced at P109,995.
The Asus Tuf Gaming A15 and A17 laptops, meanwhile, carry the series’ signature military-grade durability design cues.
The FX506IU-AL111T variant, the first A15 model to be released, will sport a Ryzen 7 chip, a GTX 1660Ti, 8GB of RAM, 1TB HDD plus 512 SSD storage, and a 15-inch FHD display with 144Hz refresh rate. It retails for P69,995.
Finally, the 14-inch VivoBook S14 (M433) in the “Bespoke Black” color sports an ultra-thin 15.9 mm chassis and weighs roughly 1.4 kg. It has a NanoEdge FHD display with thin bezels and resolution set at 1920 x1080.
It will be powered either by an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U or AMD Ryzen 5 4500U mobile processor but both model will be equipped with 8GB of RAM at 2666 MHz and a 512GB PCIe SSD for storage.
Available for pre-order from June 1- 12, the VivoBook S14 with Ryzen 7 is priced at P44,995 and it’s P39,995 for the Ryzen 5 variant. Freebies bundled with the pre-order include an Asus Nereus bag, a laptop soft stand, and the Asus Premium Care Warranty Extension Package.
