Converge ICT Solutions ranked first in Ookla’s Philippine fixed broadband assessments for the first half of 2026, securing awards for overall internet performance, speed, and latency.
Based on consumer-initiated tests conducted from January to June, Ookla named the company’s FiberX service the country’s “Best Internet,” “Fastest Internet,” and “Best Fixed Latency” provider.
Converge recorded a Speed Score of 61.86, a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 73.14, and a Latency Score of 14.44.
Ookla’s Speed Score combines download speed, upload speed, and latency to assess typical network performance. Its Connectivity Score measures the broader user experience across bandwidth-intensive activities such as video streaming.
Lower latency indicates faster network response times, which can improve applications such as online gaming, videoconferencing, and other real-time services.
“We take pride in providing the best broadband service to our over three million subscribers,” Converge chief operations officer Benjamin Azada said.
“Being awarded the fastest provider for four straight years, best ISP for three years, and now confirmed to have the best latency, is a testament to our consistent efforts to deliver superior performance.”
The latest results extend Converge’s run of Ookla Speedtest awards, which began in 2022.
“The real test is sustaining network performance as more people depend on the network every day,” said John Paul Aguilar, Converge senior vice president and Consumer Business Group head.
“These results reflect the discipline behind our network investments and the standard we intend to keep raising as we expand nationwide.”
Converge vice president and head of brand and marketing Orange Ramirez said third-party testing could help consumers assess how broadband networks perform in everyday use.
“People may not think about network scores, but they experience the difference in every video call, stream, and online transaction. Independent testing makes that difference visible and gives customers a credible basis for understanding real-world performance,” Ramirez said.
As of June 2026, Converge said its fiber-optic assets spanned more than 900,000 kilometers nationwide. The company provides broadband services to residential, enterprise, and public-sector customers, alongside cloud, cybersecurity, managed services, data center, and artificial intelligence offerings.
