Canon Marketing Philippines has launched the EOS R6 Mark III, its latest hybrid mirrorless camera designed for photographers and content creators, featuring notable upgrades in resolution, speed, and video capabilities.
The camera introduces 7K 60p RAW video recording and becomes the first in the EOS R series to offer a 3:2 Open Gate mode, allowing creators to capture footage that can be easily adapted across multiple formats and platforms.
It is equipped with a 32.5-megapixel sensor paired with a high-speed continuous shooting mode of up to 40 frames per second, capable of capturing as many as 150 consecutive images.
A key addition is a pre-continuous shooting function that records up to 20 frames before the shutter is pressed, allowing users to capture decisive moments that might otherwise be missed.
For filmmakers, the EOS R6 Mark III leverages its 7K resolution for flexible reframing and includes support for custom LUTs.
The body features dual CFexpress Type B card slots to handle high-speed recording, along with dust and water resistance and a heat dissipation structure to support extended use.
Canon also introduced a new lens at the launch event on November 21 — the RF45mm f/1.2 STM, a compact cinematic lens with a 9-blade circular aperture and a quiet STM autofocus motor.
The EOS R6 Mark III will be available in several configurations:
- Body only – ₱164,998
- With RF24-105mm IS STM – ₱186,998
- With RF24-105mm L IS USM – ₱244,998
- RF45mm f/1.2 STM lens – ₱25,298
Canon Marketing Philippines president and CEO Anuj Aggarwal said the new model reflects the company’s push to support evolving creative workflows.
The company also announced the return of the Canon Photomarathon in April 2026, marking the comeback of one of the country’s biggest on-the-spot photography competitions.
