Electric vehicle maker BYD Cars Philippines introduced two new electric vehicles at the Manila International Auto Show 2026 — the Atto 2 EV and the Sealion 7 — expanding its lineup of battery-powered models in the country.
The BYD Atto 2 EV is positioned as a compact electric crossover aimed at urban users. The vehicle features a practical design intended for everyday city driving while offering the advantages of fully electric mobility.
Meanwhile, the BYD Sealion 7 is marketed as a premium electric SUV with a focus on performance and technology. The model features an aerodynamic exterior and an all-wheel-drive system, while the interior incorporates advanced driver-assistance technologies designed to improve safety and convenience.
“With the Atto 2 and Sealion 7, we’re excited to offer vehicles that not only meet the demands of Filipino consumers but also drive the transition towards sustainable electric mobility,” said Bob Palanca, managing director of BYD Cars Philippines. “These models represent our commitment to innovation and reflect our vision for a more electrified future.”
Visitors to the MIAS event can reserve either model for a fee of P50,000 through BYD dealerships or at the show itself. The company said the vehicles are expected to officially launch in the Philippines later this year.

The introduction of the Atto 2 and Sealion 7 forms part of BYD’s broader push to expand its new energy vehicle portfolio in the country.
The company is also highlighting the development of charging infrastructure through ACMobility, which aims to support the growing number of electric vehicles on Philippine roads.
The vehicles are currently on display at the BYD pavilion during MIAS, which runs from April 9 to 12.
