DITO BizBayan and GCash for Business have launched a bundled service that combines 5G connectivity, real-time audio payment confirmation, and discounted transaction fees for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The package includes DITO’s WoWFi Optima device and GCash SoundPay, which announces successful GCash payments through an audio alert. The feature allows merchants to confirm transactions without manually checking their mobile phones.
Businesses that purchase a WoWFi Optima device will also gain access to a lower merchant discount rate on GCash for Business. The companies did not disclose the discounted rate or the price of the bundle.
“Digital transformation should be practical and accessible for every Filipino entrepreneur. Through this partnership with GCash for Business, we’re helping MSMEs serve customers faster and operate with greater confidence through reliable connectivity and better payment solutions,” said Gabby Cui, head of DITO BizBayan.
DITO chief commercial officer Adel Tamano said the partnership is part of the telecommunications company’s effort to expand its business offerings beyond connectivity.
“At DITO, we’re bringing together connectivity, digital services, and strategic partners to create solutions that help Filipino businesses operate, transact, and grow more effectively. Our partnership with GCash for Business is another step in building an ecosystem where MSMEs have access to the tools they need to succeed in a digital-first economy,” Tamano said.
The bundle was demonstrated at a product launch involving 20 local merchants from South Trading Post. Participants used the WoWFi Optima and GCash SoundPay devices to process purchases during the event.
