Intel intros Core Ultra Series 3 processors in PH

Chipmaker Intel has rolled out laptops powered by its latest processors in the Philippines, introducing a new generation of AI-capable devices aimed at both premium and budget segments.

The company said systems equipped with its Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors are now available locally through major PC brands such as Asus, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI. The processors were first unveiled at the CES 2026 earlier this year.

Built on Intel’s 18A process, the Core Ultra Series 3 chips combine CPU, GPU, and neural processing unit (NPU) components to support on-device artificial intelligence tasks.

The company said the processors can deliver up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI performance, alongside improved graphics through the integrated Xe3 architecture and gains in energy efficiency.

Intel is also introducing the more affordable Intel Core Series 3 processors, targeting students, families, and small businesses. These chips share a similar architecture but are positioned for lower-cost devices.

According to the company, the Core Series 3 platform offers up to 47% better single-thread performance, 41% better multi-thread performance, and up to 2.8 times higher GPU AI performance compared to five-year-old PCs. It also supports newer connectivity standards such as Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.

Globally, Intel expects more than 200 laptop models to feature the Core Ultra Series 3 processors, with over 70 designs using the Core Series 3 chips.

“These advancements will help unlock productivity, creativity, and growth for Filipino users, ranging from professionals and students to creators and enterprises,” said George Chacko, general manager of the Sales Group for Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand at Intel Corporation.
