The official website of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has remained inaccessible for a second consecutive day, with the outage traced back to the afternoon of October 4.
Visiting the website will currently display the following error message:
” An error occurred while processing your request.
Reference #102.c086a7c.1759565153.641e12b
https://errors.edgesuite.net/102.c086a7c.1759565153.641e12b “
This seems to indicate problems with accessing the origin server by the edge content delivery network servers.
Ironically, October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
On October 2, Klammer, one of the more prominent Philippine hacktivists from Deathnote Hackers, posted on social media, “And for this Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we will make everyone VERY AWARE if you know what that means ☺️😚”
While the downtime does not necessarily indicate a security breach, observers note that professionally managed websites typically provide clear public advisories when undergoing maintenance.
As of posting time, the AFP Public Affairs Office has not issued a statement on the cause of the outage or why the site shows only a generic error page.
