The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) issued on Thursday, March 5, a public advisory naming several social media influencers allegedly promoting illegal online gambling platforms.
In a post on its official social media pages, the CICC warned the public to be cautious about the online personalities they follow, saying some influencers with large followings are endorsing gambling websites that may not be legally authorized in the Philippines.
Among those listed by the agency are
- Mr. Nobodydudy
- Kuya Mo Boss
- Maasim Ta Vines
- Al Moralde
- Dan Tambioco
- Da Siblings
- Awit Gamer
- Miss Ginbilog
- Honda Beast
- YuriGaming
According to the advisory, these influencers collectively have millions of followers and were allegedly promoting various online gambling platforms such as cowwins188, promoting369, pinoy365 bet, Wagiplus, YamanPlus, jilievok.com, swerte63, jl26, and several others.
The agency noted that some of the sites are allegedly “pretending Pagcor-accredited sites”, referring to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor), which regulates legal gambling operations in the country.
CICC urged the public to be vigilant and avoid engaging with illegal gambling platforms promoted on social media.
“Maging maingat at mapili sa mga fino-follow na social media content creator. Siguraduhin na mabuti at legal ang mga content na ibinabahagi nito sa social media at hindi nakasisira ng kinabukasan,” the agency said.
The cybercrime body also encouraged the public to report suspected illegal online gambling activities through its hotline 1326 or via the agency’s official social media pages.
Illegal online gambling has been a growing concern for authorities, particularly as some platforms allegedly use influencers to attract players through social media promotions.
