Digital lender GoTyme Bank has rolled out a new in-app stock trading feature, allowing users to buy and sell shares listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange without leaving its mobile platform.
Called “PH Stocks,” the feature is integrated directly into the bank’s app and is powered by brokerage firm DragonFi Securities, which provides the licensed trading infrastructure.
The move reflects a growing push among financial platforms to bundle banking and investment services in a single app, targeting retail users who have traditionally been deterred by account setup requirements and fragmented trading platforms.
GoTyme said users can fund trades directly from their bank balance, place orders outside trading hours, and withdraw proceeds within the same app. The feature is positioned toward long-term investing rather than active trading.
“GoTyme Bank’s mission has always been to remove friction from finance and build confidence for new investors,” said Nate Clarke. “Our partnership with DragonFi Securities brings credible, licensed expertise right into the app, making PH Stocks the perfect entry point for everyday Filipinos to shift from saving to investing responsibly for the long term.”
For its part, DragonFi said the partnership expands access to equities by embedding brokerage services into a widely used digital banking platform.
“At DragonFi, our mission is to make investing accessible, transparent, and embedded into the daily lives of Filipinos. Our partnership with GoTyme Bank is a major step forward in achieving this vision,” said Jon Lim, CEO of DragonFi Securities.
“By powering PH Stocks within the GoTyme Bank app, we’re not just enabling access to the Philippine Stock Exchange, we’re putting the power of long-term investing directly into the hands of millions of Filipinos in the simplest, most intuitive way possible.”
