With the partnership, Spring Valley?s Digital Pilipinas becomes the official platform of the Tholons Services Globalization Index (TSGI) for the Philippines.

Digital Pilipinas is a Web-based platform that will gather key information from different locations in the Philippines, as well as provide analytics on how each location is measured on parameters such as digital transformation, skills and scalability, operations/costs, risk to business/quality of life, business environment, innovation, and startup ecosystem.

The TSGI is an extensive report that produces the ranking of the Top 50 ?Digital Nations? and Top 100 ?Super Cities? that is published annually. It evaluates and provides location strategies to countries, governments, multi-lateral agencies, multinational corporations, analysts and investors.

Digital Pilipinas is envisioned to equip different cities in the Philippines with tools to market themselves to potential locators and investors from all around the world. At the same time, the platform will make it easier for locators and investors to find the perfect location for their digital business.

Digital Pilipinas is expected to help the Philippine cities improve their rankings in the Top 50 ?Digital Nations? and Top 100 ?Super Cities? by providing them with the right tools to measure their progress, as well as see for themselves the performance of other cities in the Philippines.

This comes after the 2017 release of the global rankings of cities that saw Philippine cities drop in ranks due to the addition of three metrics: digital transformation, innovation, and startup ecosystem. The Philippines hopes to catch up with the rest of the world in those three areas in order to be more competitive with tech giants like India, China, Mexico, and Brazil.

The partnership with Tholons brings Spring Valley, a Filipino-owned company, into the global stage, where it hopes to also provide the platform to other countries? data gathering and ranking efforts.

Speaking about the partnership, Jonathan De Luzuriaga, Spring Valley CEO and president of the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA), said, ?It is an honor to partner with a consulting powerhouse like Tholons in realizing the digital capabilities of the Philippines as it manifests itself in the platform Digital Pilipinas. Through the platform, we believe we can help the locations to be part of the global landscape of technology and innovation hubs that cater to digital services?.

Avinash Vashistha, chairman of Tholons, added, ?Digital Transformation is an imperative of the Global 2000 and Fortune 500 firms. Filipino companies have an excellent opportunity to use the Digital Pilipinas platform to play on the global platform.?
