Salesforce integrates Agentforce into CRM suites for local SMEs

Salesforce has expanded its artificial intelligence offerings for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines by embedding its Agentforce AI assistant into Salesforce Suites and introducing Slack CRM, aiming to help businesses automate routine work and manage customer relationships from within Slack.

The company said Agentforce is now integrated into its Free, Starter, and Pro Salesforce Suites without additional setup or extra cost.

The AI capabilities allow users to summarize customer records, draft personalized emails, and monitor customer activity from within the CRM platform.

Starter and Pro Suite customers can also activate the Employee Agent, an AI assistant that can provide context, draft communications, and automatically log activities through conversational commands.

Salesforce said the rollout is intended to address productivity challenges among Philippine SMEs, which account for 99.6% of businesses but contribute only about 40% of the country’s gross domestic product.

The company also cited low digital technology adoption among local small businesses despite growing interest in AI.

The company also introduced Slack CRM, a lightweight customer relationship management tool built directly into Slack.

The platform allows users to create and update contacts, track sales leads and deals, and log customer interactions without leaving Slack conversations. Businesses can later migrate to more advanced Salesforce CRM capabilities without transferring their data, Salesforce said.

“SMBs are the backbone of the country’s economy. Agentic AI provides these organizations the means to make exponential impact without the time and effort typically required for enterprise-scale transformation,” said Vernon Cheo, head of emerging small and medium business at Salesforce Asean.

“This is a pivotal moment for SMBs to carve their competitive niche.”

Phil Hassey, CEO of capioIT, said businesses in the region require AI-enabled platforms that integrate directly into daily workflows.

Slack CRM is included in Slack’s Business+ subscription at no additional cost, while the embedded AI capabilities are available through Salesforce’s Free, Starter, and Pro Suites.
