Electric vehicle distributor BYD Philippines recognized its top-performing dealerships and personnel during its 2025 dealer conference, as the company reported continued expansion of its local retail network.
The annual gathering, held at Okada Manila, brought together dealers from across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to review sales performance and operational targets amid growing competition in the country’s emerging electric vehicle (EV) market.
According to company executives, the Philippine dealer network has expanded from just two locations in early 2024 to 79 outlets nationwide, reflecting an aggressive push to widen access to its electric vehicle lineup.
Among the major citations was the Sales Achiever Award, given to BYD Glorietta for overall retail and fleet sales performance as well as customer satisfaction metrics.
Regional volume sellers cited during the event included:
- Metro Manila: BYD Global City
- Luzon: BYD Pampanga
- Visayas: BYD Cebu North
- Mindanao: BYD Davao
Individual sales consultants from Manila Bay, Bacoor, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro were also recognized for recording the highest unit sales in their respective regions.
In fleet sales, Manila Bay, Global City, and Valenzuela ranked as the top contributors.
Dealerships in Quezon Avenue, Pangasinan, Negros, and General Santos were recognized for achieving the highest sales satisfaction scores, based on internal customer feedback metrics.
Aftersales-related awards highlighted service operations, parts management, and technical performance, with several citations going to Balintawak, Pampanga, Iloilo, Negros, Greenfield, and Valenzuela branches.
Additional awards covered dealership-led initiatives such as local launches, marketing campaigns, compliance, and customer engagement programs. Pampanga, Cebu Central, Cebu North, and Quezon Avenue were among those cited in these categories.
BYD Philippines said it plans to continue expanding its footprint in 2026 as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the local new-energy vehicle segment, aligning with broader industry efforts to introduce more electrified transport options in the country.
Company officials also pointed to rising global sales of new-energy vehicles as a driver of further investment in the Philippine market, where EV adoption remains at an early but growing stage.
